Day One- Arrive in the Mad River Valley to spend the afternoon in quaint Warren Village. Shop at one of Vermont's few remaining country stores: the Warren Store. They still believe the age-old concept of a country store. It serves as the hub of its community, a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, and local products of course! After shopping in Warren village, head to the Sugarbush Inn, where a Welcome reception will be waiting. Enjoy dinner overlooking our golf course & the green mountain views.
Day Two- Eat breakfast in our Terrace room, than head to Isle La Motte, on Lake Champlain. You will see the site of Fort St. Anne, Vermont’s oldest settlement and the statue of Samuel de Champlain which was sculpted by a Vermonter during Montreal’s Expo 67. Take in the gorgeous scenery & arrive back at Sugarbush for a Vermont dinner at Timbers, a traditional round barn Restaurant.
Day Three- Before taking a scenic ride to the southern part of Lake Champlain, have a Vermont country style breakfast at Sugarbush. The first stop is Chimney Point, a historic site, and then you will examine the ruins of the mighty French and British fortresses at Crown Point. Here sits one of the most unusual lighhouses of its kind in the world. Enjoy your picnic lunch while you take in the lake views. Next, we will visit Fort Ticonderoga, NY; one of the country's most historic forts of the Revolutionary War. Take a ferry ride back across the lake to Vermont. Ride back to Sugarbush over the scenic Middlebury Gap. Relax and unwind in our terrace room, where dinner will be served.
Day Four- Wake to the smell of breakfast, pack your bags then head up to Burlington's waterfront. Shop on the popular Church Street Marketplace, visit the Echo Lake Aquarium & Science Center, take a ride on the scenic railroad, or plan a lunch cruise on Lake Champlain.
